//I tried working off the similar code I've done for past assignments but none of it was working, anytime I'd try and plug
something in, it would mess up the whole page and I would get a bunch of "unknown variable" errors where the page should
be. All I was able to do without completely ruining the page was connecting to the database, but because no other
lookup tables were responding, I probably messed that up as well. I'm just having a hard time understanding what is filler code
that I'm supposed to change and what is code that should never be touched and is integral to the page.
